Saskatchewan Reconnaissance

Just returned Saturday from a world wind reconnaissance trip into Northern Saskatchewan. Weather was terrific, people friendly and everyone is keen for our visit. Dave Qualley and Adera Angelucci joined me on the trip with Dave looking at the airport operations and Adera the ground venues.

Hello John,and fellow Century Flight Club members!
We had a great trip back on July 25th to sunny Port McNeill with fuel stops at Dease Lake and Terrace 7.1 hours. Beautiful weather and a smooth ride. We really enjoyed the whole trip and it was great to meet up with friends we had made on last years flight.

History was made last week when 112 aircraft descended from all parts of Canada to discover the Yukon.
The fly outs, the evenings together, camaraderie around a campsite fire, the history, the smells of airplanes mixed with cinnamon buns, a little dust thrown in the air by our helicopters, glacier flying, time spent on a dock in Atlin, all came together to make this, for this aviator, an experience that was perfect.

Good morning Mr. Nicklechuk ... just wanted to let you know we all survived the flight to the Yukon and return. Marvelous indeed, particularly in a single engine aircraft. Good times, good weather, good friends and great cooperation from all the FSS and ATC personnel along the journey.
